silver ball

ITV recommissions game show duo

British broadcaster ITV has reinstated two game shows, silver ball and Sitting on a fortuneboth co-produced by Potato and Possessed labels owned by ITV Studios.

Hosted by football icon Ian Wright, silver ball is back for a second season, which sees the chance to win life-changing money resting entirely on the rolling of a ball.

The second season will see teams of two competitors earn the chance to rack up large sums of money by correctly answering a series of questions; however, as the money in the pot increases, the pressure also increases and players must keep their cool as they count down to the last ball played – the Moneyball.

Sitting on a fortunemeanwhile, is a high-tension game show in which players could win up to £100,000, also returning for a second season with another iconic footballer and broadcaster, Gary Lineker at the helm.

With six players, six chairs, and no lifelines or exits, the players take the stage in a row of seats, one behind the other; however, positioning is key. Only the player in the money seat can answer the questions, build the jackpot and have the chance to win it all.

However, a wrong answer sees that player relegated to the back of the line, as the next person moves up to take pole position. With the jackpot mounting, there can only be one winner. Who can stay in the hot seat long enough to walk away with up to £100,000?

ITV Studios handles international distribution on both formats.
