DC Circ. Denies Texas Arg Time in migrant deportation suit

By Khorri Atkinson (Jan. 5, 2022, 6:07 p.m. EST) – The DC Circuit rejected Texas offer to participate in oral argument later this month in support of the Biden administration’s fight for a policy allowing migrant families with children to be deported from the United States to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

In a curiam order on Tuesday, the appeals court dismissed without explanation Lone Star State’s December request to plead in the Jan. 21 hearing for seven minutes as amicus curiae.
