Ganesh Chaturthi 2022: Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated across the country with full fervor this year after celebrations were blighted for the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Tithi begins at 3:33 p.m., August 30.

Tithi ends at 3:22 p.m., August 31.

During Ganesh Chaturthi, there is a Madhyana Puja Shubh Muhurat, which takes place between 11:05 a.m. and 1:38 p.m.

According to Hindu religious beliefs, moon sightings are not allowed on Ganesh Chaturthi. Moon sighting in Ganesh Chaturthi is said to create Mithya Dosham or Mithya Kalank. The literal meaning of this is a false accusation of stealing something. Time to avoid Moon sighting: 3:33 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. on August 30.

Ganesh Visarjan Puja Vidhi

Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of Ganesh Chaturthi, which comes after 10 days, also known as Visarjan day. Lord Ganesha is welcomed on Ganesh Chaturthi with the same joy and excitement as he is said farewell on the day of immersion. Followers bid farewell to Lord Ganesha with dance and music. Visarjan day is September 9 this year.

On this auspicious day, the idol of Lord Ganesh is bid farewell by immersing himself in water. This is done after transporting the idol through the streets of the neighborhood.

Before immersing Lord Ganesha idol, you should keep in mind that Lord Ganesha idol should be dressed in new clothes. During worship you should tie the modak, silver, durva grass and betel nut in a silken cloth and keep this bundle with the idol of Lord Ganesha.
