What happened in episode 9?

Yellowstone episode 8 showed the fatal coffee shootout and episode 9 from last week “No such thing as fair” presented the aftermath of the incident.

We see Jamie watching media coverage of the attack as well as John’s speech as the Patriarch announces his candidacy for governor.

Christina encourages Jamie to oppose her father’s interest in preserving the old ways of life. As Christina harasses Jamie further, he lets it slip that her real father, Garrett Randall, is a convicted murderer.

During the episode, John learns that the protest at the airport led by Summer was actually Beth’s idea.

Kayce, meanwhile, is on a mission to figure out why he keeps seeing the wolf where he shouldn’t be seen. He’s also struggling to figure out if it’s some kind of omen.

John eventually has a face-to-face with Beth, in which she claims she doesn’t care who is hurt as he tries to protect his family.

Additionally, Jimmy and Emily, who have grown closer since we last saw them, have to go their separate ways as their lives take them down different paths.
