The luxurious minimalism of Six Senses London’s flagship hotel and residences
The new London Six Senses hotel and residences, which will open at the end of 2023, will be located on the historic site of The Whiteley, west London.
Exclusive brand Six Senses is coming to London with a luxury hotel and residences, due to open in late 2023 and located on the site of the former department store, The Whiteley, in Bayswater, west London.
Comprised of 14 one and two bedroom units plus the new Six Senses London hotel, the space also includes a fitness studio, swimming pool, spa and co-working spaces.
The new large-scale project is the first flagship of Six Senses, who worked with designers AvroKO to bring understated elegance to The Whiteley’s comprehensive refurbishment.
Owners have the flexibility to add their fully furnished residences to hotel inventory for up to 90 days per year, providing a flexible way to generate revenue and offset costs. For those renting residences, overnight or short-term storage is offered in an effort to make the process as convenient as possible.
The houses follow the minimalist design codes that also characterize the hotel, with wooden floors throughout that make a warm foil for contemporary furnishings. Residents can also enjoy access to the Six Senses Place Social and Wellness Members Club, plus 24-hour concierge and housekeeping to celebrate the best of hotel living.
Due to be completed by the end of 2023, the massive scheme is a key part of the regeneration of the Queensway area and forms part of a wider refurbishment of The Whiteley undertaken by Mark, CC Land and Finchatton, and designed by Foster+ Partners. The hotel and residences are set to focus on shopping, dining and fitness as part of a complete overhaul of the location, which also stays true to historic codes with sensible dining that respects the facade and the building’s distinctive dome. §
