The Mandalorian returns in episode 5 of “The Book of Boba Fett”

As the episode title suggests, The Mandalorian returns during Boba Fett’s Book Episode 5. In fact, this week’s entire story revolves around the character of Pedro Pascal. Meanwhile, Boba Fett is nowhere to be found.

“Chapter 5: The Mandalorian Returns” opens with Din Djarin on the hunt for a bounty for information. The first moments of the episode show him fighting with the Darksaber he earned during The Mandalorian Season 2. If nothing else, this development sets the stage for an exciting 40 minutes of content.

The rest of Chapter 5 sees Din dealing with his new grip on the Darksaber and his separation from Grogu. He goes to see the gunsmith (Emily Swallow), who explains the meaning of the gun.

Din is then forced to defend his claim by fighting Paz Vizsla (Tait Fletcher). And although he wins this battle, he ends up being banished from his people. The armourer is not happy to learn that he took off his helmet during The Mandalorian Season 2. She informs him that the only path to redemption is to purify himself in the caves of Mandalore. Unfortunately, they were destroyed during the Imperial invasion.

This leaves Din searching for his ship and his next move, bringing him to Tatooine. There, he reconnects with Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), who asks for his help in fighting the Pyke Syndicate. And despite the offer of payment, Mando accepts the job for free.
