Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], April 4 (ANI/PNN): India ranks 6th in natural rubber production and 2nd in world consumption. Widely used as an industrial raw material, India’s total natural rubber trade is approx. 2200 million dollars. Moreover, the rubber industry in India is estimated at Rs 12,000 crore.
Under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Rubber Board of India plays a vital role in the development and support of the entire rubber industry. Aiming to bring transparency to the natural rubber trade, the Rubber Board recently proposed to create an online trading platform that will complete the supply chain, including producers, dealers, processors and manufacturers.
It was a prestigious but complex project that required the expertise of the best in this field. Ahmedabad-based i-Sourcing Technologies, founded by Vishal Dhori, Pankaj Modi and Palak Shah in 2014, was seen as the ideal solution provider for this and was onboarded by Rubber Board to develop its e-Trading platform.
The intelligent application of i-Sourcing Technologies’ knowledge, research and insights allowed for a smooth creative process. The platform is now ready to launch. It will facilitate online rubber trading with features such as e-commerce, e-auctions, e-payments, quality certifications, trade contract management, and invoicing and delivery tracking. The founders of i-Sourcing Technologies and Rubber Board believe this will bring transparency and efficiency to the supply chain, reducing lead times for all stakeholders.
Co-Founder and Head of Online Sourcing Services at i-Sourcing Technologies, Vishal Dhori, said that even for an experienced company like theirs, it was very difficult to design and develop a state-of-the-art platform for the rubber trade where they had to consider various aspects ranging from ensuring transparent transactions for producers, traders and manufacturers to developing an escrow mechanism to ensure that the system is acceptable to all.

He also mentioned that they were running similar projects for online auction, online procurement and online lottery systems in conjunction with various state governments. Co-founder Palak Shah pointed out that over the years these young entrepreneurs have worked on several government projects such as Sealed Bid & e-Auction, Total Payment Collection for Rajasthan Housing Board, BHEL and HEC Ltd, e-Procurement Solution for Bangalore International Airport for Domestic and International Tenders, and e-Draw Properties for Urban and Rural Planning, to name a few.
“Our goal is to create a complete solution that would help businesses automate the entire tendering process and government to create an end-to-end e-procurement solution,” said co-founder Pankaj Modi.
Right now, the team has a lot of eyes and ears around it as start-up enthusiasts will add one more feather to their hat. The brainchild of i-Sourcing Technologies and co-founder Nirav Shah, Zyapaar is set to launch this year. The founders have described Zyapaar as a revolutionary virtual B2B platform for every business person, service provider and business organization that will serve as a networking building space and help create a unique digital identity.
After helping Rubber Board digitize the rubber merchandising system, i-Sourcing Technologies’ next innovation, Zyapaar could be a game-changer for SMEs and SMBs. This platform reflects huge potential to overcome challenges such as limited network, high cost digital presence and acquiring credible leads that end up hindering their business growth. We wish them Zyada Network and Zyada Vyapaar in the years to come!
